Finding Pá: A Story of Loss, Love, and Redemption

Finding Pá is more than just a film, it’s a deeply personal journey inspired by true events. At its core, it follows Miguel, a Puerto Rican man who has spent his life resenting the father who abandoned him. When his father returns frail, ailing, and seeking forgiveness, Miguel must confront old wounds and decide if reconciliation is possible. Through raw conversations, unspoken pain, and unexpected moments of connection, Finding Pá explores the universal struggle between hurt and healing. This is a story about fathers and sons, breaking cycles, and letting go of the past to embrace what remains of the present. 

 

Finding Pá is also a love letter to Puerto Rican culture, its music, traditions, and the resilience of its people. It reflects the experience of many Puerto Ricans balancing love and hardship, pride and struggle.

 

Why We Still Need Your Support

Production on Finding Pá has wrapped! What an incredible milestone we reached, thanks to generous supporters and community partners, but we’re not done yet. We are now in the post-production phase, working to complete essential steps like color grading, sound mixing and mastering, to ensure the film is finished at the highest quality. We also plan to submit Finding Pá to festivals across the country, so it can be seen, heard, and felt by wider audiences.
